A family film organized around the plot of the Atreides myth; a conflict of reign filmed over several years. A family is torn apart in a house that is being built, images of the past interfere with those of the present.
About the film
This is a film-essay shot over the 4 years of my schooling at La Fémis, with a group of actor friends, in my grandmother's farm being renovated. It has a proto-documentary form, with fictional aspects, but we have integrated a lot of reality into it: archive images of the actors when they were young, the passing of time, the inhabitants of the village where we shot, the evolution of the relationships between the actors... It is the result of more than 5 years of work and testing, from my very first images as a young director to the period of editing.
